Older People

Ageing is a natural process that affects your appearance and how your body responds to general 'wear and tear' and illness. Not everyone ages at the same pace because genes‚ lifestyle choices and environment all play their part.

There are a number of actions you can take to improve your long-term physical and mental health and wellbeing, practical, achievable things which could reduce your chances of developing dementia or, at the very least, improve your general health and wellbeing.

Research shows that healthy eating, keeping physically active, maintaining social networks and keeping mentally active are good for you.  This is beneficial for your brain and may reduce your risk of dementia later in life.
